Music at Broomley

Music is an important part of our curriculum at BroomleyFirst School and supports our ambition to deliver a creative curriculum that supports Character Education. We use Charanga for our whole school music curriculum but alongside this we also offer our pupils a range of whole class and individual lessons. 

In Key Stage 2 all pupils have the opportunity to learn an instrument (Year 3 Recorder, Year 4 Flute). Pupils are taught not only how to play but how to read music by a specialist teacher from Northumberland’s music service. 

We also hold weekly, whole school, singing sessions.
